Position 1: – Finance and Admin Officer
Required Qualification and Experience
Education: BA in accounting, finance management, business management or other related disciplines.
Essential knowledge and Experience: 6 years of relevant experience in finance and finance administration for BA and 4 years master’s.

Role overview
The Finance and Admin Officer (FAO) is a critical component of the Local Rights Program (LRP), ensuring its financial stability and smooth operations. The role involves maintaining accurate and transparent accounting practices, managing both human and material resources, and providing technical support to various agencies and government offices. By promoting sound financial management and resource optimization, the FAO empowers communities to effectively utilize their resources for sustainable development, ultimately contributing to the program’s overall success and impact. Provide technical and professional input for WR related policy engagement in the LRP.
Key Activities
Participates in the preparation of annual plans and budgets for the LRP’s and take the lead in the financial planning process.
Compiles and submits monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with AAE financial policies and procedures.
Conducts grant assessments and produce reports for LRP’S, Coordinator, and the Finance Officer at the head office.
Follows up on audit findings and recommendations for the LRP and supports the LRP Coordinator.
Exercises strong skills in transaction documentation, coding, data entry, variance analysis, and timely communication to internal and external stakeholders and auditors.
Produces statutory and management financial information and reports for the Program manager and Finance Department at the head office, including system export/backup of financial data.
Conducts continuous monitoring and auditing of partners and stakeholders’ financial management processes to ensure financial integrity and report compilation.
Liaises with bankers, regional offices, and the head office on matters related to finance and administration.
Manages the LRP’s petty cash fund, prepares and effect payments according to AAE financial policies and procedures.
Monitors LRP bank accounts regularly and control cash movements according to budgetary utilization in the LRP setup.
Follows up on staff advances and ensures timely settlement as per AAE Financial Policy to ensure compliance and timely collection.
Checks supporting documents, record vouchers daily to respective register books, and enters them into FIS to ensure compliance with proper record-keeping and documentation requirements.
Carrys out grant assessments for grants released to CBOs, government sector offices, and other actors by the LRPs and facilitate required actions following the assessment outcomes.
Coordinates travel and supervises vehicle use and management in accordance with AAE’s developed transport policy.
Manages properties, assets, and maintains proper records.
Ensures check and balance.
Produces monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and property management reports.
Implements cost reduction strategies and value-for-money initiatives within the role.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Position 2: – Women Right Officer
Required Qualification and Experience
Education: Bachelor and/or master’s degree in law, sociology or other related social science fields, with a minimum of four years with BSc or Experince: 2 years for MA with proven experience in the area of WR.
Essential knowledge and Experience
Proven experience on WR Project cycle management, with good experience in programme quality issues, Participatory community development/ community empowerment and multi sectoral grassroots integrated development work directly related to WR programme/Project
Proven community facilitation, organization and mobilization skills,
Ability to maintain expected performance in culturally diverse, psychologically stressful
environments and difficult physical conditions with limited resources.
Adherence to AAE’s Safety and Safeguarding policies.
Desirable knowledge and Experience
Trained and experienced in development approaches, programme quality, capacity building, partnership development, M&E, knowledge generation, Documentation and sharing.
Excellent training, communication and interpersonal skill
Good in proposal and report writing

Provide technical supports and ensure the development and effective operation of the WR projects at the LRPs and ensures programme quality standards by providing programme/project implementation and coordination support, coordinate and manage the LRP WR plans of work, monitors deliverables, and flags areas of concern in a timely manner.
Provide technical and professional input for WR related policy engagement in the LRP.
Key Activities
Lead and coordinate the LRP level WR program development/design
Write WR program concept notes and proposals for the LRP in coordination with Program and Fund Raising Department at Head office
Coordinates the planning, budgeting and reporting of the Women right activities in the LRP.
In consultation with the Women’s right Manager, provides expert advice to programme work in Women’s right at the LRP level including support capacity development, knowledge development, sharing and learning.
Provide technical and professional support to WR activities in LRP and Coordinates and ensures programme quality standards.
Coordinate the program quality of WR using the quality standards
Manage donor fund projects at LRP level
Periodically monitor the WR programme/ project activities in the LRP and provide the necessary support
Actively participates in local level participatory poverty analysis, programme design/planning processes as per AAEs’ programme strategic direction in general and the LRP plan in particular.
Support the LRP Coordinator in identifying and organizing risks and risk matrix, mitigation strategies and updating
Facilitate participatory programme implementation of community development programmes through and with community-based organizations in the area of WR programme
Participates in participatory monitoring & evaluation, and programme review, reflection and learning processes in the LRP
Support the LRP coordinator in funding plan, CNs and proposal development for fund raising
Prepare and produce monthly, quarterly and annual reports of the WR programme activities of the LRP,
Take initiatives to document and share modeling works of the LRP and in building organizational competencies
Supports the LRP in overall programme, sponsorship and administrative areas.
Support evidence-based policy and advocacy on WR issues at LRP level and ensure linkage for national level engagement
Perform other related duties
