Addis International Bank would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.
Position: Senior Customer Service Officer I – Accounts/Cash
Job Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Management, Accounting, Banking or related fields.
2 years of relevant banking experience; 1 of which in customer service officer position.
Under the close supervision of the Branch Manager I, the Senior Customer Service Officer I delivers both front and back office banking services, including account management, fund transfers, loan processing, international banking, debit and mobile banking, and agent banking operations. The role involves handling cash and non-cash transactions, verifying and approving financial operations within assigned limits, ensuring accurate reconciliation and record keeping, and providing quality customer service. The incumbent also supports credit processing, promotes bank products, assists in payroll and branch expense administration, and ensures compliance with banking policies and procedures while actively contributing to the daily activities of the accountant and cashier functions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Cash and Transaction Management – Handle cash transactions, cheque truncation, money transfers, remittances, and approval of various transactions within assigned limits while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Account and Loan Administration – Open and verify accounts, prepare and process loan contracts, maintain collateral and insurance records, and follow up on repayments.
Reconciliation and Reporting – Reconcile accounts, check daily income and expenses, prepare claims, and produce periodic financial and risk-related reports.
Customer Service and Product Promotion – Assist customers with banking products (debit cards & mobile banking), respond to inquiries, and promote cross-selling of bank services.
Record Keeping and Compliance – Maintain accurate and secure records, ensure timely settlement of obligations, and adhere to operational policies and procedures.
