Position 1: Finance Assistant
Key Duties and responsibilities
- Preparation of cheque & cheque payment voucher
- Provision of document for settlement (petty cash, training payment, fuel payment, working petty cash advances)
- documentation of the project financial transactions
- collect bank transfer slips/deposit slips or transfer advice
- process payment transfer letter/process cheque payment
- Collect monthly bank statement (both EURO & BIRR)
- process and collect cheque pad
Required Qualification & Experiences:
Qualification
Diploma in in Accounting/Finance/Business Studies and minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience;
Basic knowledge of different accounting software and Microsoft applications
Other Competencies
Fluency in English communication (spoken & written)
Prior experience with donor-funded projects; willingness to be multi-tasked to take up out of office tasks.

Position 2: Assistant Researcher II, Laboratory technologist/Microbiologist
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Contributes to the quality and timely delivery of field & laboratory research results of the project by:-
- Preparing field & laboratory activity plan of the research project
- Securing the necessary field & lab resources and facilities for conducting the research activities
- Carrying out and coordinate the day to day laboratory operations including but not limited to sample collection and/or ensuring its proper collection from health facilities, onsite point of care testing, proper storage & transport of samples to lab and/or facilitate its transfer to AHRI & other study procedures are run per the study Protocol & SOPs of the project.
- Coordinate field, clinical and lab activities and ensuring quality of study forms completion, sample collection & transport.
- Coordinate and monitor recruitment and follow-up of patients, controls & contacts in the study.
- Serve as the primary technical & admin contact person at the health care centres involved in the study.
2. Contributes to training and ensure the efficient and effective utilization of field and laboratory resources by:
- Facilitating preparation and delivery of training programs and/or deliver training to site staff as necessary.
- Facilitate preparation and utilization of the field and lab research project resources.
- In collaboration with the project coordinator, anticipate the research project’s material needs and requesting supplies on time.
3. Perform other project related duties as required by:
- Preparing field and lab reports of project activities
- Preparing and submitting periodic reports on the lab performance of the project.
- Field visit and supervision of all project activities in the clinic, lab & field during data & sample collection
- Other related responsibilities as requested by the project leader and/or director as necessary
Job Requirements
BSc in Laboratory Sciences with two or more years of working experience; hands-on experience in point of care testing, molecular techniques and bacteriology.
MSc in Microbiology with zero years of experience
Minimum GPA of 3.00 for male and 2.75 for female
Additional competencies
- Strong interest in research is a requirement
- High personal motivation and willingness to be based at the filed sites
- –Training and/or experience in microbiology methods is an advantage

Terms and conditions:
Six Months contract with possible extension based on performance and budget availability.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Possess a BSc degree or higher in health sciences (Nursing and Public Health) with a minimum of 2 years.
- Prior experience in surveys or surveys related to the field is considered an asset.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Have expertise and training in both quantitative and qualitative data collection methodologies.
- Willingness and ability to travel to various parts of the data collection sites.
- Professionals in and around Dessie and the surrounding areas will give precedence.
Duties and responsibilities
- Execute essential survey activities, including coordination, ensuring data quality, conducting data cleaning, and reporting findings.
- Maintain and monitor the data collection process, making adjustments to the system to align with operational needs while providing ongoing support.
- Conduct data collection from the designated health facilities.
- Ensure that proper handling data and documentation
- Assist in the collection, processing, and storage of data.
- Assist physicians and study coordinators as per given directions
Other Competencies
- Fluency in English Language
- Experience on ODK, RedCap, and Macro is an added advantage
- Excellent interpersonal skill
- Willingness to be multi-tasked and take up out of office tasks
