Amhara Bank SC would like to invite qualified and interested job seekers to apply for the following different position.

Position 1: – Senior Performance Management & Succession Officer

Purpose of the Job: To plan and establish effective employee Performance Management system and succession management practices across the bank to enable it to fully utilize the potential of its people and meet future and changing business needs.

Generic Functions:

  • Mentor and enable staffs below his/her grades towards achieving their effective performance
  • Participate in developing, reviewing and implementing policies & procedures, plan /budget, performance report of the division
  • Provide services as per the service level agreement
  • Contribute to the bank’s profitability as per the target set
  • Adhere to internal control system and risk management program of the Bank

Specific Functions:

  • Work with concerned organs to provide a rigorous and disciplined framework for assessing employee performance requirements, for rating actual performance against target/plan, for identifying key performance gaps; to bridge such gaps within acceptable timeframes
  • Participate in the preparation of the employee scorecards based on the corporate scorecard
  • Ensures the alignment of employee scorecards with the corporate scorecard.
  • Ensure that BSC terminologies and measurement definitions across the Bank are standardized
  • Ensure that changes that affect performers’ targets by the Executive Management are amended in their respective scorecards
  • Handle other related activities as deemed necessary
  • Engage in teamwork, collaboration, and transparency work practices

Job Requirement:

Qualification: BA in Management, Business Management, Development Management, Public administration or any other related fields

Experience: Five/5 years of relevant experience preferably in banking industry of which two/2 years on officer position

Position 2: – Security Guard – I (Female)

Purpose of the Job: To support the Bank’s operation through maintaining safety and security of the organization and its personnel, and ensuring secured customer services with welcoming environment.

Generic Functions:

  • Patrolling and securing the area and ensuring the protection of properties and facilities
  • Authorize entrance of people and vehicles
  • Report any suspicious behaviors and happenings

Specific Functions:

  • Avert inventory losses by reporting missing items, inconsistencies and damaged property;
  • Use radio or other communication devices in a clear and concise manner, if appropriate;
  • Prepare written reports of daily activities, observations and incidents;
  • Handle other related duties as may be required

Job Requirement:

Qualification: 8th Grade Complete

Experience: two/2 years of relevant experience in Military/Police service

OR

Qualification: 10th/12th Grade Complete

Experience: four/4 years of experience as a lady searcher

Age: Between 25-50

Position 3: – Security Guard – I (Male)

Purpose of the Job: To support the Bank’s operation through maintaining safety and security of the organization and its personnel, and ensuring secured customer services with welcoming environment.

Generic Functions:

  • Patrolling and securing the area and ensuring the protection of properties and facilities
  • Protecting the company’s assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues
  • Report any suspicious behaviors and happenings
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Specific Functions:

  • Avert inventory losses by reporting missing items, inconsistencies and damaged property;
  • Use radio or other communication devices in a clear and concise manner, if appropriate;
  • Prepare written reports of daily activities, observations and incidents;
  • Keep an eye on the entrance and exit to prevent theft and ensure workplace security;
  • Handle other related duties as may be required.

Job Requirement:

Qualification: 10th/12th Grade Complete

Experience: two/2 years of relevant experience in Military/Police service

Age: Between 25-50

Position 4: – Senior Customer Service Officer – Cash

Purpose of the Job: To enhance customer satisfaction by handling front line customer service activities with due care and maximum efficiency ; increase the Branch’s resource mobilization effort by cross-selling the Bank’s products and services.

Generic Functions:

  • Enhance the strong business relationship with customers and cross sell the bank’s positive   image to the community;
  • Provide the concerned organ with timely, relevant, accurate, and complete reports on the plan performance
  • Demonstrate the Bank’s code of conduct at work places and time to be abide by the bank’s organizational culture
  • Provide services as per the service level agreement;
  • Contribute to the bank’s profitability as per the target set;
  • Engage in teamwork, collaboration, and transparency work practices
  • Adhere to internal control system and risk management program of the Bank;

Specific Functions:

  • Engage and perform customer recruitment and account opening activities
  • Administer the Primary Vault dually with Branch Operation Manager/ Branch Manager;
  • Receive, verify, lodge and withdraw cash to/from Primary and Secondary Vault;
  • Receive or dispatch consignment of cash from/ to the Treasury;
  • Distribute cash to the Customer Service Executives in the morning and during working hours;
  • Authorizes transfer of cash from Vault to Cash and from Cash to Vault;
  • Verify the daily cash receipts and cash bricks are in order, wrapped and initialed
  • Retrieve customer signatures, pictures and verify customers,
  • Perform other duties as required

Job Requirement:

Qualification: BA in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, and any other related fields.

Experience: 3 years of experience in banking operation as CSO, CSR, CSE or related position.

Position 5: Senior Accountant

Purpose of the Job: To carry out the general accounting operations and control financial transactions, reconciling account balances and bank statements٫ maintaining the general ledger٫ ensures that all payments, taxes, and other financi.al obligations are timely met.

Generic Functions:

  • Take up the roles of the division manager in his/her absence
  • Actively participate in developing, reviewing and implementing policies & procedures, plan /budget of the division
  • Mentor and enable staffs below his/her grades towards achieving their effective performance;
  • Demonstrate the Bank’s code of conduct; embody the Bank’s good culture and corporate image to the public
  • Adhere to internal control system and risk management program of the Bank

Specific Functions:

  • Participate & assist in the ongoing accounting practices review and implementation process & system changes
  • Continuously monitor the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records of the Bank in terms of quality and timeliness of financial reports
  • Follow- up accounts of suspense nature and reports to his/her supervisor
  • Authorizes records of stock & non-stock items based on Goods Receiving & Issue Voucher
  • Handle other related duties as may be required

Job Requirement:

Qualification: BA in Accounting/ Finance /Business Management/Economics/Business Administration/ or any other related fields

Experience: Five/5 years of relevant Banking experience of which two/2 years as an accountant

Position 6: Messenger & Cleaner – I

Purpose of the Job: To securely delivers packages, documents, written and verbal messages and other items to intended location or recipient timely and appropriate manner and support the customer service process of the bank by keeping the work places clean and make it attractive for staffs and customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Securely delivers packages, documents, written and verbal messages, and other items to the intended location or recipient promptly.
  • Protects the confidentiality of information and documents
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirement:

 Qualification: Grade 10th/12th Complete

   Experience: Two/2 years of relevant experience.

   Age: Between 18 – 35

Position 7: Customer Service Executive – II

Position 8: Branch Manager Grade – I

Purpose of the Job: To achieve sustainable growth and profitability of the Bank through cross selling the Bank’s products & services; acquiring & retaining customers, improving customer services and building strong customer relationships to maximize resources mobilization efforts; managing overall retail banking operations at the assigned branch.

Generic Functions:

  • Prepare /review work plans / budgets of the branch and monitor its execution
  • Embody  the bank’s good culture & corporate image
  • Demonstrate the Bank’s code of conduct, ascertain that subordinates abide by same and manage disciplinary concerns
  • Provide services as per the service level agreement follow- up & monitor subordinates to do the same
  • Contribute to the bank’s profitability as per the target set
  • Mentor and coach subordinates towards effective career development

Specific Functions:

  • Plan and lead the enhancement of the resource mobilization activity of the branch by organizing and effectively coordinating the branch workforce
  • Check whether the Branch’s books of accounts are in balance; review Income and Expense Summary Accounts of the Branch and apply strict follow-up on controllable expenses
  • Ensure that transactions are authorized immediately, and end-of-business cycle processes are done on a timely basis

Job Requirement:

Qualification: BA in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, and any other related fields.

Experience: 7 years of relevant experience in the Banking Industry of which 1 year as Assistant Branch Manager/CSM or Relationship Manager or 7 years of relevant banking experience of which at least 2 years as Senior Officer in banking operation position.
