Awash Bank, Ethiopia’s pioneering private bank, was established on November 10, 1994 after the downfall of the socialist regime. The Bank was established by 486 founding shareholders with a paid-up capital of Birr 24.2 million and started banking operations on Feb. 13, 1995.
Since embarking operation, the Bank has registered remarkable growth. Notwithstanding global and domestic challenges, Awash Bank has exhibited a superior operational and financial performances among private banks operating in Ethiopia. Awash Bank is currently working towards strengthening its capital base, technological capabilities, human resources and customer base.
Awash Bank SC would like to invites competent, Qualified and interested candidates for the following positions.
Position 1: Information Security Governance, Risk Management Officer II
Qualification & Experience:
BSc Degree in Information Technology related fields plus a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in cyber Security organizations and/or banking areas.
Professional Certificates in Information Security Standards, Frameworks and in information Security Administration (an added advantage).
Job Summary:
The job holder participates in assessing an organizations cybersecurity operations whether it is running in accordance with relevant cyber security Compliance’s, regulations, and industry standards while effectively managing risks. She/ He is responsible for Identifying Critical Assets of the bank and Identifying and assessing risks across the organization.

Position 2: Senior – IFB Product Development Officer
Qualification & Experience
BA Degree in Business Administration , Accounting or related field plus a minimum of six (6) years’ in banking operation, preferably in the banking sector.
Job Summary
The Jobholder is responsible for IFB product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with various work units to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. S/he ensures that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. The jobholder continually collects and analyses relevant market and competitor information to assess market position and identify threats and opportunities.

Position 3: Manager – Credit Risk Management Division
Qualification & Experience
BA Degree in Economics, Management, Accounting or related fields plus a minimum of ten (10) years’ in banking sector with a minimum of three (3) years’ at supervisory level in risk management areas.
Training on Credit Processing and Risk Assessment (Mandatory).
Job Summary
The job holder is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and supervising the Credit Risk Management activities. S/he ensures Bank’s Credit Risk Management to pertinent laws, policies, procedures and NBE directives. S/he is involved in developing, educating and implementing policies and procedures in relation Credit Risk Management.
