The MIS Internship is a one-year program designed for fresh female graduates aiming to develop their skills and careers. The internship focuses on empowering young female talents, enhancing gender parity within the organization, and providing hands-on experience through mentoring and coaching. Interns will work on value-added projects, expand their professional network, and gain practical knowledge in data management and monitoring and evaluation functions within the Women’s Economic Justice (WEJ) Unit.

The intern will support the MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) function of CARE Ethiopia’s Women’s Economic Justice Unit. This involves strengthening data management practices, contributing to project quality assurance, and supporting field offices with ongoing monitoring and evaluation activities.

CARE Ethiopia would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.

Position 1: Meal-MIS Intern

Required Education:

Required: BA/BSC in Management Information System (MIS), Information Technology (IT), Data Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Management, Statistics, Mathematics, and related field.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

0 Years of working experience, Ability to work in a stressful situation can do multi-task, excellent analytical/statistical skills, very good writing skills, team player, and problem solver

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Good written and verbal language skills in Amharic and English

Good computer proficiency (i.e., Ms. Word, Excel, Access, ArcGIS)

Research and data management skills

Firm belief in gender equality and sensitivity to vulnerable groups

Team player, flexible and ability to work under a multi-cultural working setting

Quick learning ability, communication, and strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to meet deadlines

COMPETENCIES:

Courage, accountability, respect, excellence, planning, and organizing, initiating action, innovation, interpersonal skill, and stress tolerance.

Monthly Stipend – 216$

Location: Addis Ababa

Deadline: November 10, 2024
