Mandated as a central resource of the United Nations, UNOPS provides sustainable project management, procurement and infrastructure services to a wide range of governments, donors and United Nations organizations.
With over 6,000 personnel spread across 80 countries, UNOPS offers its partners the logistical, technical and management knowledge they need, where they need it. By implementing around 1,000 projects for our partners at any given time, UNOPS makes significant contributions to results on the ground, often in the most challenging environments.
UNOPS Ethiopia would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.
Position 1: Administration Intern
Education/Experience/Language requirements:
Education
To qualify, the candidate should be currently enrolled in a university degree or have graduated from a university degree within the last 3 years at the time of the application. Preferably the candidate is studying or has studied one of the following subjects: Business Administration, Public Administration, Management or a related field. Work experience
Applicants are not required to have professional work experience.
Language
Fluency in written, reading, and spoken English is required.
Knowledge of another UN official language is an asset.
Computer Literacy
Knowledge & usage of Google suite applications is an asset.
Duty station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Position 2: Procurement Intern
Education/Experience/Language requirements
Education
To qualify, candidates must either be currently enrolled in a university degree program or have graduated within the last three years. Applicants should be studying or have studied preferably one of the following fields: Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline. Please attach your educational documents with your application.
Work experience
Applicants are not required to have professional work experience.
Language
Fluency in written, reading, and spoken English is required.
Knowledge of another UN official language is an asset.
Duty station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Position 3: ICT Intern
Education/Experience/Language requirements
Education
To qualify, the candidate should be currently enrolled in a university degree or have graduated from a university degree within the last 3 years at the time of the application. Preferably the candidate is studying or has studied one of the following subjects: Information Science, Information Technology Computer Science or related fields.
Certifications
MCSE, ITIL, CCNA or Equivalent certifications is added advantages.
Work Experience
Applicants are not required to have professional work experience.
Knowledge of Computer Networking and HTML5 is an asset.
Language
Fluency in writing, reading, and oral English is required.
Knowledge of another UN Official language is an asset.
Duty station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Position 4: Human Resources Intern
Education/Experience/Language requirements:
Education:
To qualify, the candidate should be currently enrolled in a university degree or have graduated from a university degree within the last 3 years at the time of the application. Preferably the candidate is studying or have studied one of the following subjects: Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related areas. Experience:
Applicants are not required to have professional work experience.
Knowledge of the usage of Google Suite applications is an added advantage.
Language:
Fluency in written, reading and oral English is required.
Knowledge of another UN official language is an asset.
Duty station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Position 5: Engineering Intern
Education/Experience/Language requirements:
Education:
To qualify, the candidate should be currently enrolled in a university degree or have graduated from a university degree within the last 3 years at the time of the application. Preferably the candidate is studying or have studied one of the following subjects: Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Water Engineering, Construction Management or any other related fields.
Experience
Applicants are not required to have professional work experience.
Skills
Knowledge in Architecture and Engineering design software such as AutoCAD is an added advantage.
Language
Fluency in written, reading and oral English is required.
Knowledge of another UN Official language is an asset.
