DHL Global Forwarding Ethiopia is where you will drive IRR benefits realization and operational resilience by converting traditional “analog” business processes & practices to fully applying the IT renewal roadmap solutions, transform the country by the adoption of our digital technologies across the entire business including digital customer interaction and experience across the entire customer portfolio.
DHL Group would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.
Position 1: Gateway Customer Service Agent
Qualification:
BA degree in any field
Accountabilities
Call customers Proactively for all shipment s that check into customs.
Record customer bookings for collection of clearance paper work
provide customers with accurate information on, clearance delays, custom paperwork requirements, generate a detailed report for the Customers contacted.
Update ACA on customer feed back, Open GEMA traces for NCI where applicable.
Daily upload of the report on I share.
Provide a high level of customer service and professionalism taking into account the consideration that all DHL customers have an express requirement and are looking for instant and immediate acting

Position 2: Operations Agent
Minimum Requirements
Education and experience
Experience in working with customs clearance matters within the transportation, logistics or import/export industry
Degree in any field
Computer literate
Driving License is mandatory
Key Responsibilities:
Activate the standard and agreed process flow in daily operations to satisfy the customer needs and requirements
Activate the contingency plan for any emergency or the occasional customer requirements
Assist in ensuring operational practices and procedures are carried out effectively
Carry out any administrative task that is required for the Service Centre in order to process material and provide network and shipment information often within tight time frames.
Capture information – and make available to the Network – information required for a shipment, piece or handling unit at the service center according to the standard procedures.
Ensure the attainment of both inbound and outbound shipment clearance, efficiently within clearance performance targets and transit time.
Process inbound material upon arrival and make sure material is available to the couriers and that material not going out for delivery is secured according to the Security policy and procedures.
Process outbound material according to the latest processes and procedures
Arrange/attend physical inspections of shipments by authorities and record actions
Monitor the registration / license requirements for DHL Customs facilities

Position 3: Country Manager – Ethiopia
Education & experience:
University degree and relevant commercial / business qualifications.
Significant experience in Senior management or General management experience in the express / logistics / aviation industry or within similar service related businesses.
Broad understanding of all functional aspects of the business and sound experience managing a complete Profit and Loss entity of relatively similar size.
High degree of business acumen and understanding of the external economic environment and how this may affect DHL’s short and long term planning.
Exceptional leader and motivator of people that displays exceptional DHL leadership attributes.
Must be able to Speak and Write fluently in English
