The Ethiopian Diabetes Association (EDA), established on January 23, 1984 G.C (1976 E.C), is the first patient-based association in Ethiopia. Its purpose is to provide a forum for diabetes patients to discuss prevention, share information, and access treatment.

Ethiopian Diabetes Association would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.

Position 1: Junior Accountant

Education: B.Sc. Degree in Accounting and Finance

Experience: 2–4 years of experience as a Junior Accountant

Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English and Amharic

Additional Training:

  • Computer training certificate (excellent computer usage and Peachtree software)
  • IPSAS training certificate is an advantage

Competencies / Technical Skills:

  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • Good planning and prioritizing skills
  • Professionalism and facilitation abilities

Personal Attributes:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and foster trust
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure
  • Integrity and strong team spirit

Work Place: Addis Ababa


Position 2: Office Support / Secretary

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience; prior experience in an NGO environment is advantageous

Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English and Amharic

Additional Training:

  • Computer training certificate with excellent computer usage skills

Competencies / Technical Skills:

  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • Strong planning and prioritizing skills

  • Excellent report writing skills

Position 3: Store Accountant

Education: B.Sc. Degree in Accounting and Finance

Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience

Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English and Amharic

Position 4: Procurement Officer

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in procurement or supply chain management (experience in humanitarian settings is an advantage)

Certifications: CPP, CIPS (desirable)

Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English and Amharic

Competencies / Technical Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles

Personal Attributes:

  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity

Work Place: Addis Ababa


Position 5: Human Resource Manager

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s Degree preferred)

Experience: Minimum of 4 years’ experience in HR management (experience in NGO environments is advantageous)

Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English and Amharic

Additional Training:

  • Computer training certificate with excellent computer proficiency
  • Leadership training certificate

Competencies / Technical Skills:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Ability to align HR initiatives with organizational objectives
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for presentations, policy updates, and sensitive conversations
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to use HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, satisfaction scores) for decision-making
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday, ADP, or BambooHR
