Position 1: Senior Marine Engineer Surveyor & Examiner
Job Requirement
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Science/Technology in Marine engineering and an Engineer with STCW Class 1 Certificate of Competency.
An applicant who has attended flag state implementation training, ISO/ISM auditor training, TOT training, Methodology of Assessors Training and Marine casualty and incident investigation training or other related Maritime Training is more suitable - Experience: Minimum of 10 (ten) years’ experience as a Chief engineer “on ships >3000GT/KW on foreign going vessels. Sound knowledge of Maritime Legislations and IMO Conventions, proven ability to perform collaboratively within the management team which includes such diverse disciplines as standards & compliance, proven ability to undertake research and analysis of flag state inspection issues and well-developed written and oral communications skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Number Required-2(Two)
- Fulfilling the following criteria is considered as advantage for the incumbent.
Experience of the international safety management (ISM) Auditor, Maritime Training Audits, Marine Casualty and Incident Investigator, Teaching Staff at Maritime Academics, Marine oral examine, Superintendent of vessel, designated person ashore or similar positions
Terms of Contract: One year contract staring from the assigning date of the contract with possible extension
Salary Negotiable
Duty Station: At the Ethiopian Maritime Authority Office
Position 2: Senior Nautical Surveyor & Examiner
Job Requirement
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Science in Nautical Science and/or A Master Mariner with STCW Class 1 Certificate of Competency (COC) and Holder of COC of General operator Certificate on Global Maritime Distress and Safety system.
- An applicant who has attended flag state implementation training, ISO/ISM auditor training, TOT training, Methodology of Assessors Training and Marine casualty and incident investigation training or other related maritime training is more suitable.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 (ten) years’ experience as a Master “on ships >3000GT/KW on foreign going vessels. Sound knowledge of Maritime Legislations and IMO Conventions, proven ability to perform collaboratively within the management team which includes such diverse disciplines as standards & compliance, proven ability to undertake research and analysis of flag state implementation and well-developed written and oral communications skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
