Joytech PLC would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.
Position: Junior Accountant
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a recognized University/College with no prior work experience. OR Diploma in Accounting from a recognized University/College with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in Accounting software and Excel spreadsheets is essential.
The Junior Accountant, under the guidance of the Finance Section Head, will be responsible for conducting various finance-related tasks for the company.
Responsibilities:
- Record and reconcile cash receipts and sales transactions.
- Maintain and reconcile customers’ ledgers.
- Assist in organizing and preparing monthly tax declaration documents (VAT, income taxes, and withholding taxes) as required by the Ethiopian Revenue Office.
- Prepare check payments.
- Follow up on check payment activities.
- Summarize and record petty cash transactions.
- Ensure completeness and proper filing of financial documents.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Salary: Based on company salary scale
Duty Station: Addis Ababa
