Mothers and Children Multisectoral Development Organization (MCMDO) is an Ethiopian resident charity organization registered in accordance with the charities and societies proclamation No 1113/2019 with a certificate No 0022. MCMDO currently is being implementing more than 24 projects Emergency and development projects in Oromiya , SNNPR, Somali, Gambella , Benishangul Gumuz , Tigray, Afar, Amhara, Harari, Dire Dawa and City Administration of Addis Ababa.

Mothers and Children Multisectoral Development Organization (MCMDO) would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.

Position 1: MHNT Nurse

Qualification:

BSc or Diploma in Nursing or Post Basic Diploma in nursing, 4 year for BSC & 6 Years for diploma professional experience in clinical, nutritional and management of OTP and SC complications and previous experience in other NGO’s.

Previous experience working in Mobile health and nutrition team response program is preferable.

Good project management skills, ability to plan, organize and monitoring of implementation of MHNT projects.

Demonstrated qualifications, experience, or training in community mobilization and community health promotion.

Experience in organizing and facilitating training.

Excellent written and spoken English and local language

Workplace: Addis Ababa

Position 2: Mental Health and Psycho social support (MHPSS)

Job Requirement Qualification:

BSc in Psychology, psychiatric Nursing with mental health and Psychosocial background or related field with 5 year professional experience Essential computer literacy (word, excel)

Competencies:

Commitment to MCMDO Principles.

Ability to work under pressure, long work hours and high workload.

Excellent communication skills-verbal and written.

Communication in English is a key requirement.

Knowledge of local language mandatory.

Self-motivated, honest, highly responsible, and punctual.

Ability to work as part of a team as well as to work autonomously when required.

Ability to constructively address gaps and weaknesses.

Cross-cultural Awareness.

People management.

Result oriented.

Strategic vision, leadership, people management and planning.

Location: Tigray and Oromia region Different woredas

Position 3: Field based project coordinator

Required Qualification and experience:

MPH or BSC in health officer, Nursing, Nutrition and related fields, and

Has at least 5 years (MPH.) and 7years (Bsc.) of practical experience in managing projects/programs related to Emergency Nutrition and SRH

Demonstrated leadership ability to inspire and empower others;

Demonstrated technical and coordination ability, sound judgment, ability to interact and work effectively with others at all levels;

Organize and accurately completes multiple tasks by establishing priorities while taking into consideration special assignments, frequent interruptions, deadlines, available resources

Establishes, builds and maintains effective working relationships with staff and partner organizations to facilitate the provision of support

Proficiency in verbal and written English, Afan Oromo is mandatory.

Concept paper development, operational planning, budget planning and management, monitoring and evaluation, report writing;

Has the experience of working in multi-cultural environment and local communities.

Has the ability to synthesize and analyze information critically.

Have excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability work in a team environment.

Ability to work flexibly including weekends and willingness to travel and work in rural locations and live in basic conditions.

Location: Tigray and Oromia region different woredas

Position 4: Midwife Nurse

Qualification:

BSc in Nursing or Post Basic Diploma in Midwifery 5 year professional experience for BSC and 7 years for diploma in midwifery, labor ward and management of Obstetric complications.

Essential computer literacy (word, excel)

Fluent written and spoken English and local language.

Competencies:

Commitment to MCMDO Principles.

Ability to work under pressure, long work hours and high workload.

Excellent communication skills-verbal and written. Communication in English is a key requirement.

Knowledge of local language (preferably).

Self-motivated, honest, highly responsible, and punctual.

Ability to work as part of a team as well as to work autonomously when required.

Ability to constructively address gaps and weaknesses.

Cross-cultural Awareness.

People management.

Result oriented.

Strategic vision, leadership, people management and planning.

Workplace: Addis Ababa

Position 5: Health Officer

Qualification:

BSC in Health officer or MPH Degree in Public Health with 5 year for BSC 3 Year for MPH working.

Full registration and practice license with Health officer

5 years minimum experience as a Health officer or in clinical work, experience in obstetrics and gynecology, neonatology, adult and under five children both OPD and inpatient is desirable.

Competency

Previous MHNTs response experience is desirable.

Previous management experience desirable.

Essential computer literacy (word, excel)

Strong work ethic and commitment to humanitarian objectives

Highly motivated, flexibility, quick learning and team working;

Fluent in spoken and written English, local language Mandatory

Ability to lead mobile teams and able to create good team sprit among the group.

Strong computer (Microsoft skills), and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Good human relation skills

Willingness to work at hardship area, extra hours and under pressure.

Location: Tigray and Oromia Region different woredas

Position 6: TFP supervisor (OTP, SC) and TSFP

About You

BSC in public Health officer and Nursing with more than three years work experience on CMAM/IMAM as supervisor a/facilitator or mentor

TOT on AM management /IMAM/CMAM

Good interpersonal communication and facilitation skill

Respect for multiculturalism and Value

Mentoring and facilitation skill

Be able to work under pressure and towards tight deadlines with minimum supervision

Promote team synergy in a multi-cultural work environment

A resourceful person and self-starter

Be able to Communicate in English, Amharic and/or Tigrigna languages

Location: Tigray and Oromia Region different woredas

Position 7: LAF Officer

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field from a recognized institution.

Minimum 3 years NGO experience as LAF officer is required.

Demonstrated experience with the finance/accounting and administration functions of international and local organizations.

Ability to conduct all work with the highest level of discretion and honesty according to the principles and procedures of MCMDO and its donors.

Ability to multi-task and achieve multiple priorities, including planning, organizing, prioritizing, and paying close attention to details.

Proficiency in Peachtree, Microsoft Office Programs, particularly Excel spreadsheets and Word

Location: Tigray and Oromia Region different woredas
