Position 1: Pharmacist
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient distribution of medications in line with the prescriptions/orders from the medical doctor and Ethiopian Government protocols, while maintaining universal infection control standards to improve the patients/beneficiaries’ health status
- Keep the patient and/or his/her family informed about the route, medication, side effects, dosing, and administration of any and all medication distributed to patient including needs for follow up or continued care pertaining to the medication
- Work with staff to ensure care and communication is culturally sensitive
- Support clinical leadership to enforce compliance with standard infection prevention and control guidelines
- Participate in the accurate clinical documentation and informing the MHNT Team Lead and Medical Coordinator as appropriate, about any problem or complication of the patients’ illness or medical error
- Support the MHNT Team Lead in monitoring the proper functioning of the clinic equipment, supplies, or pharmaceuticals
- Ensure patient confidentiality is respected at all times
- Support clinical leadership to provide training and mentoring to other clinical staff in dissemination of new knowledge or protocols
- Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
Education, Licenses, & Certfication:
BSc Degree in Pharmacy and certification required to work as a Pharmacist in Ethiopia.
Work Experience:
Two (2) years of professional experience after qualification

Position 2: Nutrition Specialist / Pool
Location(s): Metema
Workdays & Hours: Monday-Saturday, 40-48 hours/week, occasional weekends, and public holidays
Travel: Regular travel to field area
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Provide technical and logistical support to the health sector for effective implementation of nutrition intervention activities.
- Analyzing and reporting nutrition situation and prevailing trends
- Promote gender equity and equality through each level of nutrition activities.
- Plan with HEWs and other health workers working in TFP for effective, sustainable, and efficient implementation of nutrition intervention.
- Provide basic CMAM and IYCF trainings to HEWs/Other health professional.
- Provide technical support to MoH health staff on management of Sever Acute Malnutrition (SAM) and IYCF.
- Will provide technical support from screening to discharge (admission, treatment, follow up and referral) to provide care to under five years old malnourished children and uncomplicated severe acute malnutrition cases.
- Perform supportive supervision of CMAM and IYCF activities and ensure they are implemented as planned.
- Supervising treatment and progress of patients at TFP and SFP
- Ensuring adherence to and respect of current protocols
- Assist HEWs on (HDAs) or mother to mother group training and ensure strengthened relationship between HDAs and HEWs
- Ensure the appropriate referral system between SCs, OTPs TSFPs and IYCF
- Ensure the cards, registration books and other necessary formats are filled and documented proper.
- Liaise with ministry of health institutions, RRS, UNHCR and other government organization at Woreda and Kebele Level pertaining to CMAM activities.
- Will supervise and support the CMAM activities.
- Ensure the CMAM coverage reach above 50% for rural and above 70% for urban community and the other standard performance indicators are met appropriately.
- Ensure that the families of malnourished children receive appropriate education and participated in the nutrition program.
- Ensure the nutrition items are provided to the health facilities and reach to the intended beneficiaries.
- Collect weekly TFP and SFP data (admission and exit status) and report weekly and monthly with narrative reports to Senior nutrition specialist; and ensure report reaches to MoH through its chain.
- Establishing linkage with community leaders and representatives
- Participate on health and nutrition related assessments.
- Organize review meeting at each woreda to review the progress of health intervention at the woreda level.
- Perform other duties as required.
Work Experience:
At least 3 years’ experience working at a PHC. 1 years’ experience managing operation of Nutrition services within NGO.

Position 3: Nutrition Officer / Pool
Location(s): Metema
Workdays & Hours: Monday-Saturday, 40-48 hours/week, occasional weekends, and public holidays
Travel: Regular travel to field area
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between MTI and local beneficiaries involved in IYCF activities.
- Assist Government staff and lead mothers on counsel and strengthen the ECD/IYCF project in the OTP and SC sites and community level.
- Promote gender equity and equality through each level of nutrition activities.
- Plan with HEWs and other health workers working in Health posts to conduct complimentary feeding demonstrations for effective, sustainable, and efficient implementation of IYCF interventions.
- Actively participate in breast feeding corner establishment and effective implementation
- Sensitizes the community and HDAs on IYCF
- Will provide support from screening to discharge (admission, treatment, follow up and referral) to provide care to under five years old malnourished children and uncomplicated severe acute malnutrition cases.
- Ensure the appropriate referral system between SCs, OTPs TSFPs and IYCF
- Ensure the cards, GMP registration books and other necessary formats are filled in and documented properly.
- Ensure the IYCF coverage reaches above 60% for rural and above 70% for urban community and the other standard performance indicators are met appropriately.
- Perform another Other duty as required.
Education, Licenses, & Certfication:
A minimum of Bachelor Science Degree in Nursing or Health Officer
Work experience:
At least 3 years’ experience working at a PHC. 1 years’ experience managing operation of health services within NGO.

Position 4: Nutrition Supervisor / Pool
Job Responsibities:
- Respect the dignity of beneficiaries, caretakers, and members of the community at all times.
- Responsible for the day-to-day coordination and management of outreach workers and food disturbers at field level
- Compile data and information and accordingly report the progress to the Nutrition officer.
- Identify and refer children from the distribution sites to OTP or SC sites.
- Record, monitoring status data such as weight gains and feeding of children in the program.
- Fostering good relationships with community, community elders, community leaders and other health personnel to encourage good information sharing.
- Refer sever children who are under the SFP program to the OTP when necessary or visevers.
- In coordination with community outreach workers provide education to the community members on nutrition and health related issues.
- Involve in nutrition surveys as well as in other concern task when necessary.
- Record and keep admission, discharge, and death data to be submitted every week or month.
- Make sure that all equipment and materials kept clean and safe.

EDUCATION, LICENSES, & CERTIFICATION:
BSC degree on Health, Nutrition, or related field with more than 2 years’ work experience
Diploma in nursing or public health with more than 5 years’ work experience.
Training on the 2019 new SAM management Guideline is an added advantage.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- One year of experience on a related program
- TOT on 2019 National AM management protocol
- 2 years of professional experience after qualification with valid professional licence
- Experience in IYCF, BSFP/TSFP, OTP, and SC program is preferable.
