Optimum Audit Service would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.
Position 1: Junior Accountant
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience:
Zero to one year of relevant accounting or finance experience is advantageous.
Technical Expertise:
Basic understanding of accounting principles and standards, preferably with exposure to IFRS/GAAP.
Familiarity with accounting software such as Peachtree is beneficial.
Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
Position 2: Accountant
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
Exposure to inventory accounting and import cost build-up preferred.
Experience in a professional accounting firm is an asset.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and Ethiopian tax regulations.
Understanding of inventory valuation methods and basic cost accounting.
Position 3: Senior Accountant
Education
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
Demonstrated interest or active pursuit of ACCA certification is considered a strong advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in accounting, finance, or audit roles, preferably within accounting firms serving diverse client sectors including private and development organizations.
Proven expertise in inventory management, cost accounting, tax accounting, and import cost build-up within client-service environments.
Technical Expertise
Proficiency in accounting software such as Peachtree, QuickBooks, or equivalent, alongside advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of Ethiopian tax legislation, IFRS, GAAP, and related regulatory frameworks.
Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple client engagements under tight deadlines.
