Job Purpose
To provide the highest level of service in order to sell Emirates airline tickets and services and to assist customers with managing their travel plans. Work as part of a team to achieve individual, station and network Commercial objectives.
Job Outline:
- Ensure the highest standard of customer service is provided to Emirates customers, provide them with details on Emirates fares and actively issue online tickets and sell related products by identifying customer needs through rapport building, actively seeking out sales opportunities and promoting all Emirates related products. Ensure set service quality levels are achieved for all customer interactions
- Issue Emirates tickets to customers ensuring that all necessary airline rules and regulations are incorporated and that the customer request is met in order to provide them with excellent service. Highlight to customers the relevant requirements covering their journey such as passport, visa & health requirements and other details such as check-in place and time.
- Actively enhance Emirates revenue earnings by providing options to customer on all products and services such as Skywards membership, DBB, Dubai stopovers, hotel bookings and upgraded fares.
- Keep abreast of Emirates Group news and updates to ensure relevant professional and company standards are maintained.
Retail Office only
- Ensure that all necessary ticket related documentation is filed, time tables updated, brochures, sale and promotional material is properly displayed on individual counters, providing various options to the customer which will assist in increasing sales.
- Support the Customer Sales & Service Team Leader on closing the end of day sales and banking monies received.
- Support Travel Agents by assisting them in making bookings with special arrangements. Advise and guide Travel Agents on quoting special fares and completing ticketing formalities. Fulfill Emirates online queries and other complex activities such as medical cases and special services.
Qualifications & Experience
Commercial /Sales. Other :
Educated to at least GCSE or O Level standard or equivalent. 2+ years in a contact centre or reservations office environment within the airline or travel industry or completion of a Diploma/Degree in Travel and Tourism.
Knowledge/skills: PC based skills to operate Windows package including Microsoft Word/ Excel/ E-mail.
Other languages besides English: As some Contact Centres deal with multi – lingual calls, fluency in a required language will be advantageous.

Job Title 2: Senior Secretary-Ethiopia – 220001ET
Job Purpose
JOB PURPOSE
To provide full secretarial and administrative service to the Manager in addition to secretarial assistance and support to other department staff as necessary.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To provide secretarial and administrative support to the VP (India and Nepal).
- Maintain diary and arrange appointments as necessary.
- Type letters; memos; reports and schedules as required.
- Ensure the filing system is properly organized and maintained up to date.
- Timely filing for flight permissions and schedules with Civil Aviation Authority.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective ordering of stationery and EK material/forms in order to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Maintain up-to-date records of sick leave and annual leave for all staff.
- Maintain a record of up-to-date petty cash expenditures and reconcile the petty cash at the end of each week.
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office by being proactive, prioritizing and organizing the work in hand.
- Undertakes a variety of administrative routines without supervision and /or ad hoc exercises within guidelines.
- Screens incoming telephone calls; where appropriate deals with queries and enquiries within established guidelines or refers calls to others as appropriate.
- Co-ordinates the diary; schedules and co-ordinates travel arrangements
- Co-ordinates arrangements for a variety of internal and external meetings; and assembles appropriate material for the meetings/conferences.
- To update and maintain Minutes of meetings for appropriate action and follow-ups.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications:
- Graduate or Equivalent Diploma
- Shorthand and/or speed writing would be an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 3(Three) years’ experience in an administrative capacity in a medium or large-size company with strong administrative skills.
- Must be fully competent in MS Office applications.
- Must have a high degree of fluency in spoken and written English; a pleasant telephone manner and the ability to prioritize work.
- Must have the right to live and work in Ethiopia.

Job Purpose
- To achieve sales of the Company’s products through an assigned group of retail outlets and commercial houses.
- To ensure that set volume targets are achieved within prescribed time limits and contribute to total area achievement.
- To achieve the greatest possible return to the company from the use of promotional funds and to deploy display material and point of sales aids to generate the greatest impact on the customer.
- To evaluate and report all changed situations, trade and competitive activity to ensure Company maintains market awareness.
- To enhance relationships with all colleagues in assigned outlets and commercial houses and to motivate them in all matters affecting the Company’s business.

Qualifications & Experience
- High school level of education or equivalent. Preferable to hold degree or equivalent. .
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience /training in sales with a recognized airline or travel agency.
- Have management experience at a junior level, and be prepared to act on their own initiative.
- Have a pleasant, outgoing personality and good inter-personal skills.
- Should possess a valid local driving license.
- Good knowledge of the local travel markets.
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Candidate should have the right to Work & Live in Ethiopia.
