United Beverages would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.
Position: Procurement Officer
Required Education/Experience and Key Skills
- BA Degree in Accounting, Logistics and Supply Chain or other related business fields.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Previous experience in a similar position is required.
- Experience in the beverage/FMCG industry is preferable.
- Ability to work under pressure and ability to consistently deliver.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Compile and maintain contract files, ensuring regular and timely reviews.
- Collect and analyze data on current trends in supplier markets.
- Review departmental purchase requisitions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with procurement policies.
- Liaise with requesting departments to clarify or obtain missing information on requisitions.
- Assist in determining the appropriate procurement method based on value, urgency, existing contracts, and competitive bidding requirements.
- Identify and select vendors in accordance with procurement guidelines, including approved and previously contracted suppliers, based on criteria such as price, quality, quantity, and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with requesting departments to identify needs and develop or refine specifications for goods, supplies, and equipment.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor the status of Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and POs to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Provide administrative support to Senior Procurement Officers.
