Right To Play is an international NGO that uses specially designed sport and play programs to improve health, develop life skills, and foster peace for children, youth and communities in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the world. it’s vision is to create healthier and safer world for children and youth. Right To Play trains youth as leaders (including community volunteers, teachers and representatives from partner organizations) to deliver “Sport for Development) programs for children. Through playing sports and games, Right To Play helps one million children weekly in more than 20 countries to build essential life skills and better futures, while driving lasting social change.

Right to Play would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.

Position 1: Project Officer

Work Location: East Showa Zone, Oromia, Ethiopia (with frequent travels to project site)

Authorized to work in: Ethiopia (Eligible to work legally without visa or work permit sponsorship)

Target Start Date: As soon as possible

Contract Duration: Full-time / Permanent / 1-year contract with possibility of renewal based on performance and availability of funding

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Project Officer (SHARE Project) reports directly to the Area Project Manager (APM) and is responsible for the effective administration and management of the SHARE Project and reporting on the outcome to internal and external contacts as required. The position also has the responsibility to ensure improved integration of gender equality into the projects plans, by developing gender-specific activities and initiatives, building the gender capacity of the project staff and partners.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, social sciences, Development Studies or other related discipline.

EXPERIENCE:

3 years’ experience in project management and administration or community work including managing

direct reports and integration of gender equality and child protection strategies in projects.

Experience in managing the implementation of teacher’s professional development/training, Play Based

Learning focussed projects.

Position 2: Project Manager

EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION

Master’s degree in social sciences, development studies or other related disciplines

EXPERIENCE:

5 years’ experience managing international development programs and liaising with government officials and donors.

Proven experience in project planning, proposal development, report writing, resource mobilization, networking, partnership-building and working with NGOs.

Position 3: DRIVER

Work Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (with frequent travels to sub-offices)

Authorized to work in: Ethiopia (Eligible to work legally without visa or work permit sponsorship)

Target Start Date: As soon as possible

Contract Duration: Full-time / Permanent / 1-year contract with possibility of renewal based on performance and availability of funding

EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION:

High school certificate or vocational school diploma

A valid driving license.

EXPERIENCE:

2 years’ experience as a driver (carrying passengers) with a recognized organization
