International Organization for Migration – IOM would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.

Position 1: Operations Assistant Field Support

Job Requirements

Education

University Degree in Business Management, Business administration, Social Sciences or related field of study.

Work Experience:

Desirable of Four years or minimum of two years’ experience

Prior Movement Operations or transportation experience is a strong advantage.

Languages

Fluency in English and Amharic (oral and written) is required.

Working knowledge of Somalia, Tigrigna, Arabic and other languages of refugees in Ethiopia is desirable.

Skills:

  • Good Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Internet.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Data recording, handling and reporting.

Position 2: Senior Programme Assistant- M&E

Job Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution

Work Experience:

  • Six years for Diploma or four years for Degree holders
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
  • Experience on building an M&E system on humanitarian and development settings, establishing standards and procedures, implementing and translating M&E systems, data analysis and report writing.
  • Relevant training and exposure on IOM M&E guidelines and project development highly desirable.
  • Expertise in IOM programme/project cycle management processes and financial management system desirable.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English (oral and written) is required.
  • Working knowledge of other local languages is desirable.

Skills:

  • In depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization; and,
  • Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming.
  • Knowledge of financial rules and regulations.
  • Data analysis and presentation skills using excel, PowerPoint, SPSS, Stata, R
  • Report writing skills

Job Requirements

Work Experience:

  • Six years for Diploma or four years for Degree holders
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
  • Experience of MEAL in emergency, resilience and recovery programme response settings
  • Experience stablishing AAP system and Feedback and Complaint Mechanism

Languages:

  • Fluency in English (oral and written) is required.
  • Working knowledge of other local languages is desirable.

Skills:

  • In depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization; and,
  • Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming.
  • Knowledge of financial rules and regulations.
  • Data analysis and presentation skills using excel, PowerPoint, SPSS,
  • Report writing skills

Position 4: Programme Assistant-MEAL

Job Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution

Work Experience:

  • Three years for Degree or five years for Diploma relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
  • Experience on building an M&E system on humanitarian and development settings, establishing standards and procedures, implementing and translating M&E systems, data analysis and report writing.
  • Relevant training and exposure on IOM M&E guidelines and project development highly desirable.

Job Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in political or social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution or Master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience on building an M&E system on humanitarian and development settings, establishing standards and procedures, implementing, and translating M&E systems, data analysis and report writing.
  • Relevant training and exposure on IOM M&E guidelines and project development highly desirable.
  • Previous work experience with migration issues a strong advantage.
  • Expertise in IOM programme/project cycle management processes and financial management system desirable.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage

Languages:

  • Fluency in English and Amharic (oral and written) is required.
